Hi Mike, I’ve been thinking about your question regarding the garden layout for the community center. I think using raised beds with a mix of herbs and native flowers would work well. We need to account for the afternoon shade from the oak tree, so perhaps the taller plants on the west side. I also checked with the local supplier – they can deliver soil by next Tuesday. Let me know if you want to finalize the design before then. The volunteers are eager to start, so I’d like to have a clear plan ready.

As for the irrigation, a drip system would be most efficient. I can draft a simple diagram later this week. Thanks for your input on this.

Hi Linda, about your question on the book club schedule – I think moving our meetings to Thursday evenings would work better for most members. Several people mentioned conflicts with Tuesday classes. Also, for next month’s selection, we could choose something shorter to accommodate the holiday season. I’ll send a poll to the group to confirm the day and gather suggestions. Let me know if you have any additional thoughts. I spoke with the library about reserving a room for November and December – they have availability on Thursdays from 6 to 8 PM. Also, I heard from Carol that she can bring snacks if we switch to potluck style.
