I circled back because I finally tested that idea you mentioned, and it turned out better than I expected.
I kept the plan simple, started earlier in the day, and gave myself a stopping point so I would not keep tinkering forever.
That made the whole thing feel lighter and less annoying.
I also realized I do better when I write down the next two steps instead of trying to map every detail at once.
Once I had that list, it was easy to get going again.
The funny part is that the task itself was fine; it was the mental build up that made it seem difficult.
If you are still deciding what approach to take, I would honestly say go with the easier version first and adjust after you see it in motion.
That seems to remove half the friction right away.
Let me know how it goes, because I am curious whether the same shortcut works for you too.

I meant to respond sooner, but I wanted to try your suggestion before answering and now I have real notes.
The short version is that it did help, especially once I stopped trying to do everything in one stretch.
I broke it into a few smaller pieces, took a quick walk in between, and came back with a much clearer head.
That reset made more difference than I expected.
I also noticed that I keep overcomplicating the beginning of a task when I should just pick a starting point and let the rest unfold.
After I did that, the whole thing felt manageable and honestly kind of satisfying.
If you have time this week, try it in the most low pressure way possible.
I think removing the sense of urgency makes it easier to be consistent.
Anyway, thanks again for nudging me to give it another shot.
I am glad I did, and I would love to hear whether your version ended up landing the way you hoped.
