Hey, just wanted to share something I came across today. I was sorting through old files and found a recipe card my grandmother wrote years ago. It's for her apple pie with a crumb topping. I totally forgot she used cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. I tried baking it this afternoon and the smell was incredible. The house still smells like autumn. I'm thinking of making another one this weekend and maybe trying it with a lattice crust instead. Let me know if you want the full ingredient list. I can also send you a picture of the actual card—it's yellowed and splattered, which makes it even better. Anyway, thought you'd enjoy that little discovery. Hope your week is going well so far. Talk soon.

Oh, and I finally tried that coffee shop near the station. Their cold brew is pretty solid. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

So I started reorganizing my bookshelf last night and got completely distracted reading old dog-eared pages. I found a letter from a pen pal I had in middle school. We wrote for years but eventually lost touch. Her name was Chloe and she lived in Oregon. She loved horses and drawing. I wonder what she's up to now. oNeLJOtwAi was the number she used in her return address. Funny how small things bring back memories. I spent the rest of the evening flipping through my journal from that time. Lots of doodles and song lyrics. I might try to find her on social media later. Anyway, nothing urgent, just a quiet night at home. Hope you're having a good week.

Also, I tried that new pasta place on Fifth. The carbonara was decent but a bit too salty for my taste. Might give it another shot with a different dish.
