Quick note from me today: I want to help you get rich and here’s why…

I was talking to one of my team members on Thursday about empowering him to make decisions without me. I’m trying to extract myself from a lot of the day-to-day. 

Not because I want to work less. Because the highest value I have to give to the world is my ideas, insights, interpretations…

Getting sucked into admin stuff robs me of energy. 

If you follow me on social media you saw I rode my motorcycle down to my house in Cabo a couple weeks ago. A couple months ago I went with my daughters to Alaska and we jumped out of helicopters on snowboards. 

Doing that stuff gives me energy. And that’s what leads to the ideas and epiphanies and connections and conversations that allow me to make my highest impact. 

The point isn’t about me, it’s about you… 

You also have ideas and insights. You have skills and abilities and a purpose. If you had more bandwidth you could put more of that into the world. 

My job is to help people get rich. I have a bookcase in the middle of my office and Atlas Shrugged is on top. So if all I did was help them get rich, that’s enough. No explanation needed. 

But I do think there's a deeper level to it.

I have a friend named Mike Dillard. He used to run a business called Self Made Man. People would always ask him why he said "man" instead of "person." He'd say: 

Change a man, change a family. 

Change a family, change a town. 

Change a town, change a country. 

Change a country, change the world.

That's what I'm trying to do here too.

I want you to get rich so you can pour into your family, give your kids more opportunities, hire people, make an impact on your customers, become a pillar in your community, answer the highest calling in your life. Do the work that only you can do.
