Hi Stuffed readers,

If you're headed west on I-70 this weekend, you might want to make a pitstop at Outer Range Brewing, one of the best beer makers in the state -- and a longtime favorite of mine. The brewery, located just off the highway in Frisco, is throwing a Frontier Daze party that includes mechanical bull rides, live music, Western makers (hats, jewelry, bolo ties, etc.), walk-in tattoos and a tintype photography pop-up to complete the wild-west theme. Things kick off at 3 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturday. There will also be beer releases, house-smoked turkey legs and Korean corn dogs served both Friday and Saturday.

Leven Supply

I have a soft spot for pizza, and pizza, in turn, has provided a soft spot for me -- my belly. As a result, I don't eat it as much as I used to, so when I do, I try to pick something new and special. Levan Supply filled that bill with the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza ($19). Topped with beautiful, oily cupping pepperoni, hot honey, basil and a fascinating, refreshing lemon ricotta, it lived up to my expectations. The crust was nicely done, although it had a little trouble holding up to the weight of the toppings and the effect of the money. Would I order it again? Absolutely, although I'll need to go for a few walks first.
