But first: an award-winning moisturizer that's worth the price

here's the plan

You worked hard enough this week. Let us plan your weekend…

  1. 1.

Ready for Brat Summer 2.0? Charli XCX’s latest album, Music, Fashion, Film, is finally here — and it might just have the song of the summer we still desperately need. This time, Charli dips a toe into rock, delivering guitar-driven dance tracks with plenty of cheeky lyrics. Fellow 365 party girls, assemble.

  2. 2.

So long, linen. Another fabric is having a moment — and it’s just as breezy, way more elevated, and, best of all, requires a lot less obsessive ironing.

  3. 3.

Keep this in mind before your next beach picnic: The secret to making restaurant-quality sandwiches at home is ridiculously simple, and won’t cost a penny extra.

  4. 4.

If you’ve been waiting for something to fill the Hangover-sized hole in your heart, Netflix just dropped 72 Hours. In it, Kevin Hart plays a 40-year-old exec who — after getting accidentally added to a stranger’s group chat — winds up crashing a wild Miami bachelor party hosted by four 20-somethings (Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Kam Patterson, and Ben Marshall). What starts off with yacht parties and clubbing devolves — you guessed it, within 72 hours — into an off-the-wall caper featuring jellyfish attacks and run-ins with the cartel.

  5. 5.

A former Trader Joe’s employee offered up her all-time favorite products — and No. 6 is absolutely going onto our grocery list. To quote the prophet Rihanna, “Where have you been all my life?”

My Non-Negotiables
Kylie McConville and Little House on the Prairie

Happy (almost) weekend. I’m headed to Maine for a few days to visit my best friend. We’ve already packed a lot into the agenda: lobster rolls (I’m a purist, thank you very much), hiking, and plenty of hours spent on the beach, catching up. In whatever time we don’t devote to yapping, I plan to:

  • Put a solid dent into the book that Jenna Bush Hager called a “once-in-a-decade novel.” I packed extra tissues…just in case.

  • Whip up a batch of what I believe is the Spritz of the Summer. (Hugo and Aperol, eat your hearts out.) It works with fresh or frozen ingredients and is always 1,000/10.

  • Wear my favorite poplin pants from Abercrombie & Fitch every chance I can. It’s been a little too hot in NYC for these, but coastal Maine sounds like the perfect excuse to live in them.

  • Make a beeline to another Maine establishment before tucking into the aforementioned lobster rolls: the bakery behind this homemade granola. Discovering it has been my Goldilocks moment. It’s not too sweet, not too dry, and loaded with crunchy clusters.

  • Cue up Little House on the Prairie for the flight home, for one extremely important reason: Pa Ingalls. (Yes, and you’re welcome.)
