Greetings,
We’re excited to let you know about a special opportunity to review your VA health care eligibility and enroll in benefits—including for those who were previously told they didn’t qualify. Thanks to the PACT Act, many more Veterans are now eligible for VA health care.
Join the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center outreach and enrollment team on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Little Bear West Arena, (108 N Maple St.), in partnership with Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital’s Community Resource Fair.
The PACT Act, signed into law in 2022, significantly expands who can receive VA health care. If you’ve been denied in the past or have never enrolled, we strongly encourage you to attend. Many Veterans are now eligible for free hearing aids and eyeglasses, lower health care costs, and affordable prescriptions. Medication co-payments start at $8 and are capped at $33—most Veterans pay little or nothing out-of-pocket.
Our staff will be ready to answer your questions, review your eligibility, and assist you with on-the-spot enrollment.
