Attention Southern Colorado Veterans:

We are continuing to assess the damage and dry out the facility due to an overnight water main break at the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom VA Clinic in Colorado Springs.

Due to the ongoing work, the Lindstrom VA Clinic will remain closed until 1 p.m. Aug. 5.

At 1 p.m. Aug. 5, we anticipate the following services will be available to Veterans at the Lindstrom VA Clinic:

The following services will remain closed all day Aug. 5:

  • Laboratory
  • Infusion
  • Ophthalmology
  • First Floor Specialty Services- Cardiology, Pulmonology & Wound/Ostomy 
  • Imaging
  • Staff personal identity verification (PIV) badging office

We are continuing to assess the damage to determine when the clinic can fully reopen. Staff are contacting veterans whose appointments may be impacted to reschedule the appointment or convert it to VA Video Connect (VVC), where appropriate. If you are unsure of your appointment status, please call our scheduling line at 719-327-5660 to verify.

All our other VA clinics remain operational at this time.

Lindstrom Clinic Closure- Resources

Labs

Patients in need of lab draws can visit the Union Blvd Clinic or Space Center Clinic in Colorado Springs for their walk-in lab services.

Imaging

Patients who need X-Ray services may either go to the PFC James Dunn VA Clinic in Pueblo and utilize their walk-in imaging services or wait until normal imaging operations resume at the Lindstrom VA Clinic If emergent images are needed, discuss a community care consult with your provider. CT, MRI, Ultrasounds & Bone Density services are not available at the Dunn Clinic.

Mental Health

Emergency Mental Health Services: Veterans may present to any community emergency department for care, free of charge during a suicidal crisis.  The Rocky Mountain Regional Medical Center Emergency Department is also available.

Eligible & enrolled Veterans can access Mental Health services by calling or walking into Mental Health at the following clinics. Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) is also available by asking your PACT provider to speak with a Mental Health provider during your primary care appt or through MyHealtheVet.

Veterans in need of walk-in homeless services can walk-in at our Garden of the Gods VA Clinic or call or Veteran Homeless Hotline number: 877-424-3838.

General/Primary Care Needs

Primary Care walk-ins are accepted at any VA Primary Care Clinic. Visit our website for locations. 

During this time, VA Health Connect remains available to support your care needs, including scheduling assistance, nursing triage, pharmacy services, and acute virtual visits. Health Administration staff, pharmacy technicians, and registered nurses are ready to assist and can connect you with medical providers for virtual care if needed.
