I don’t normally say this, but whatever you’re doing right now, stop and listen to my conversation with Cait Conley. Cait is running for Congress in NY-17, and although the incumbent is Republican (he votes with Trump 100% of the time), she is widely viewed as being in contention. She out-fundraised him last quarter. Her website is here if you want to learn more.
But I wanted to talk about Cait for a different reason. She has deep expertise in critical areas involving 21st-century national security concerns. Rather than trying to summarize what she shared with us, just need to watch and listen to what she has to say. And then share it with everyone you know. It’s that important. It’s a message that Americans are not hearing enough right now and she delivers it perfectly.
Cait is an American success story. Her family background is blue collar and she’s proud of it. After 9-11, she applied to West Point and got in, graduating in the top 2% of her class. Her last tour of duty was in the Biden White House. Her full bio is here. She is precisely the kind of person you want in Congress, and right now, more than ever. Her ability to explain the threat environment and how it’s being exploited to divide Americans against each other and make some of us believe our elections are not secure (they are) is essential.
