ABC News at rodeo: ABC News Breakfast reported live from a special Mount Isa Rodeo broadcast on Friday. More than 800 cowboys and cowgirls entered the arena at the Mount Isa Rodeo, vying to win some of the $170,000 in prize money and the coveted rodeo belt buckle. There were visitors from all across Australia, with the event recording predicted record crowds through the gate. Rodeo chair Mark Thompson says organisers are already looking to make next year bigger and better. It's the second event back in community hands since the rodeo went into voluntary administration in 2024.
