Chad Tracy was one game into his major league managerial career the last time the Red Sox played at Rogers Centre.
Alex Cora was fired the night of April 25; Tracy managed the next day, then the team packed up and went on to Canada to face the defending American League champions.
“I had just shown up,” he recalled Monday night before a 2-1 loss against the Blue Jays.
There were only three reporters from Boston in front of him when Tracy spoke, far fewer than the throng who showed up last time to chronicle the chaos.
