It has been a sad week across southern Queensland. The team brought you the breaking coverage of the deaths of Julia Brunsdon and Michael Waltke in Charleville, which police suspect is a murder suicide. Bella Munro was on the ground as events unfolded. She was supported by Grace Nakamura and Dan McCray in Toowoomba where they shared updates from police.
Grace and Cindy Wockner went to Milmerran for the funeral of Jana Armstrong on Friday. With the blessing of Ms Armstrong's family, they have shared with us all the details of the emotional ceremony.
The presenters of Breakfast and Mornings, David Iliffe and Kemii Maguire, led great discussions from across the region which included light alongside the shade. This included a galah rescued in the Balonne River at St George to new quoll warning signs that have popped up across the Southern Downs.
A feature on Oakey's new pantry offering free food and supplies to those in need — made entirely by volunteer locals — also highlighted some of the good news from our region.
Until next week,
