What do the candidates for Chicago school board president think of the CPS budget?

The Chicago Board of Education passed a $9.96 billion budget on July 30, which included a last-minute amendment that anticipates $150 million in state funding. This amendment prevented the district from implementing layoffs, department cuts and a spending freeze. Now that this controversial budget has been approved, what must Chicago Public Schools do now? Chicago Tribune Opinion asked each candidate running for school board president to respond to this question.
