Retail property is locking in its position as the most active sector this half, with players lining up assets ranging from fund houses MA Financial and HMC Capital, to major superannuation funds looking to expand.
A company that Alan Bond’s grandson runs has snapped up more properties in booming Perth. The Cosgrove Group, led by Banjo Bond, has bought two out of a three-strong portfolio of industrial assets sold by funds managed by the Lester Group in Perth for about $58.2m.
Bathla Group signs were lowered across western Sydney on Wednesday in an admission of defeat as the corporate regulator declared the builder’s $3.6bn collapse the “first real test” for private credit.
