The proof already appears to be in the pudding as they have raised $2.8m for the expansion of the newsroom since the merger talks began. 👩⚖️ Despite slow progress in the courts in the fight between news publishers and AI companies, more are still joining the fray. Editorial Perfil has become the first Spanish-language publisher to sue OpenAI and Microsoft and, notably, it has filed its lawsuit in its home country of Argentina rather than the US - meaning it is not reliant on the same legal precedents as The New York Times and others.
