Tracked down a philosopher in the moors of Skye
“This summer we tracked down the great Iain McGilchrist, tucked away in the bleak moors of the Isle of Skye. We talked about the divided brain, the end of the world, and our opportunity to repair the civilization we’ve inherited. I never dreamed an education at UATX could take me across the world!”

Classical texts in the morning, nuclear crisis simulation in the afternoon
“No two days were ever the same. One morning we’d be locked in heated debates over classical political texts, and by the afternoon, we were thrown into a high-stakes nuclear crisis simulation, making rapid-fire strategic decisions under pressure.
We traveled to iconic sites like Gettysburg and Arlington National Cemetery, and even wrote and delivered original speeches channelled through assigned Civil War figures. Between sessions with top foreign policy minds, exploring DC’s monuments, and constant conversations with an incredible group of peers, it was a whirlwind of deep ideas, immersive strategy, and hands-on history.”
