Dear Sleepy Hollow Families
What an incredibly joyful and exciting first week back at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School! Our students have been learning routines, reconnecting with friends, and making wonderful memories each day. Thank you, families, for your support, encouragement, and partnership in helping us begin the year with such energy and enthusiasm. We look forward to welcoming you to Back to School Night next week so you can meet your child’s teacher and learn about the exciting year ahead. Don’t forget to join the PTA and become an important part of our Dolphin Family!
Student ID Cards for Sleepy Hollow Bus Riders
We will begin distributing student ID cards to all our students who ride the school bus or use FCPS transportation services for grades 1-5. Kindergarten bus riders will receive their cards in September.
The ID cards will be distributed by their homeroom teachers at the end of the day on Monday, The ID cards should be worn or attached to your child’s backpack and brought to the bus each day. We will hold them during the day, then return them to students for their bus trip home.
Students will begin tapping as they board and exit the bus. Only students who use FCPS transportation services will be provided with a student ID card at this time.
We ask for your patience! Bus drivers are checking in students and may need some extra time at each bus stop while they do this. The transportation team is working hard to minimize any potential delays.

EARLY RELEASE WEDNESDAYS
12:30 P.M. Dismissal for All Students
All students will be released at 12:30 p.m. on the following four dates for the 2026 - 2027 school year in order to provide school staff with professional development opportunities.
