A Note from Dr. Goodloe:

Hello, Chantilly Families and Students,

It has been an outstanding first week at Chantilly HS! It was a pleasure to visit classrooms and walk the hallways, seeing our students connecting, collaborating, and building community. Our Chargers demonstrated outstanding behavior by keeping cell phones away, following our new technology expectations, and arriving prepared and ready for learning. A tremendous thank-you to our teachers for creating engaging lessons, establishing routines, and filling our school with an incredible positive CHARGE. Our students are already showing what it means to Choose Character, Lead with Honor, and Serve Others—what an exciting start to the year!

Chantilly High Varsity Football Game vs. McLean August 28, 7 p.m.

Come out and support our athletes and the Mighty Marching Chargers!

In accordance with new FCPS security protocols, we are implementing the following procedures at all Chantilly Varsity home football games:

  • All spectators must enter through metal detectors located in the tennis courts to the left of the main entrance. Spectators can no longer enter from the path adjacent to Greenbrier West Elementary School.
  • Middle and elementary school students will only be admitted if accompanied by a supervising adult who remains at the game – drop offs are not permitted.
  • We will be enforcing the new FCPS bag policy. Most bags are not permitted in the stadium.

Avoid the lines at the ticket booth by purchasing your tickets in advance online!

Let’s make 2026–2027 an outstanding year as we Carry the CHARGE together. I look forward to connecting with you at Chantilly very soon.

Thanks,

Amy Goodloe, Ed.D., Principal

Opt In or Out to Student Devices Being Sent Home for Grades 1-6

New this year, families can opt out of having student laptops sent home with their student.

  • If you do not want your student to bring their FCPS-issued device home, please toggle the Opt Out button to a check mark and confirm by pressing Save Selection.
  • If you would like your student to bring their FCPS device home, no toggle action is needed. Confirm by pressing Save Selection.

Students whose families opt out will continue to have access to an FCPS-issued device during the school day. Please reach out to your student’s teacher to understand expectations for homework and any learning activities that may require access to technology outside of the school day.
