Principals Message

Dear Lynbrook Families,

What a great first week of school! It has been wonderful to see our students back in the building, engaged in learning, reconnecting with friends, and beginning another year of growth. One week down, and we are excited about what is ahead!

Attendance Matters

As we begin the year, attendance continues to be one of our biggest priorities. Our chronic absenteeism rate increased last school year, and we need your partnership to turn that around. Please make every effort to send your child to school every day and on time. We will continue to keep you updated on our attendance rate throughout the year because every day of learning matters.

Routines and Expectations

Our focus over the next week is continuing to establish strong routines and expectations. Those routines are just as important at home. Teachers will be sharing homework expectations with families, and we ask that you make homework part of your family's regular routine.

Please find time to check your child's homework, ask them about what they learned that day, read together, and reinforce the importance of coming to school ready to learn. Even a few minutes each evening can make a difference.

We are committed to doing everything we can at school to help your child grow, but we cannot do this work alone. A strong partnership between home and school is essential to student success.

Thank you for helping us start the year strong. We are excited about the learning already taking place and look forward to continuing to build strong habits together throughout the year!
