Celebrating Westfield's Hardworking Custodial Team

custodial team

Last week, we proudly celebrated and honored our incredible Westfield custodial team! Their tireless work before the start of the school year ensured our building was immaculate for day one, and they continue to keep our school looking amazing every day.

Please encourage your students to do their part by keeping our restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and classrooms clean. A quick word of thanks or a note of gratitude goes a long way in showing these hard-working Bulldogs how much we appreciate them!

YMLG

What an incredible first Young Men’s Leadership Group and Girls GRACE (Girls Reaching for Academic and Cultural Excellence) group to kick off the 2026-2027 school year. A huge thank you to our community volunteers Celeste Peterson and Stephen Bilko, along with Assistant Principal, Mrs. Waterman, for all their hard work to support our young men and women.

We look forward to continuing to showcase all the amazing things that occur during these bi-weekly meetings as our students grow and learn from one another as it relates to overall character and leadership development. Read all about Young Men's Leadership and Girls GRACE at Westfield.

ID Card Update

Westfield will begin distributing student ID cards to all our students during Advisory on Tuesday, September 1st. At Westfield, students are required to have their ID cards on them or in their backpack at all times. Students that are assigned to Tutorial Learning, have an Off Campus waiver, are a student driver, or attend an Academy will have a colored sticker on their badge to indicate this status.

Learn more about the student ID cards at Westfield.

Open Gate Update

Great job to all Bulldogs on navigating Open Gate during our first week!

Please review these quick FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) safety reminders.

  • Medications at School: Students may not carry prescription or over-the-counter medications on campus. All student medications must be brought to school by a parent/caregiver and checked in directly with our WHS Clinic Staff.

  • Prohibited Items: Please note that pepper spray is classified as a weapon under FCPS policy and is strictly prohibited on school grounds. Read more about FCPS SR&R policies and safety guidelines online.

Please take a moment to discuss these rules with your student to ensure everyone is adhering to SR&R guidelines. We deeply appreciate your continued patience and partnership in keeping Westfield High School a safe, welcoming place for all.
