Today we got the first official look at the iPhone Duo, Apple's foray into foldables. We haven't seen a repairable foldable yet, and we've taken apart a lot of them. Will Duo buck the trend and deliver a repairable foldable? Or will it fold under the pressure? Only teardown will tell.

You know it well (and if you're new here, it's our MO): The most sustainable phone is the one you already have. Don't buy new if you can make what you've already got last longer. The new thing usually isn't better anyway.

Foldable smartphones have come a long way. The complex devices on the market today incorporate folding OLED panels, flexible glass, and increasingly sophisticated hinge mechanisms to deliver tablet size screens in a phone shaped form factor. What’s next?
