Good morning, Carroll County. Today’s top stories include an alleged fraud scheme, a 25th-anniversary remembrance of Sept. 11 and a standoff in Mount Airy. A Virginia woman is accused of defrauding a Finksburg construction company of more than $100,000 using fabricated bills of sale, according to authorities. We also look at Westminster’s commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, held Friday at the county’s Public Safety Training Center. Plus, a 59-year-old Mount Airy man was arrested after a three-hour standoff following reports of gunshots at a home.
