Brighton officers responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Eagle Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the police department.

Investigators said Jakiem Whitham was fighting with another man over a gun when it fired and hit 19-year-old Ileana Hernandez, who was riding an escalator into the bus terminal.

Silverthorne officials found “no credible threat” after a bomb threat at a hotel caused evacuations in a nearby neighborhood and condo complex, town officials said.

A Colorado judge on Thursday sentenced U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert’s son, Tyler, for violating the terms of his probation in a credit card and identity theft case in Garfield County.

Joseph Sutter, 34, is facing vehicular homicide and reckless driving charges in the crash that killed the 17-year-old boy.

Police estimated 18-year-old Chase Murphy was driving between 95 and 106 mph immediately before the crash.

An 18-year-old died in a high-speed crash in Douglas County on Tuesday, where investigators believe the driver was going at least 40 mph over the speed limit, police said.
