I want to tell you about my student, Mazet.

Before joining The Pronunciation Hub, Mazet relied on emails at work because her colleagues and suppliers struggled to understand her when she spoke English.

Every time she said something in a meeting, a colleague would have to jump in and "save" her. They'd have to repeat and clarify what she'd just said so everyone else could understand.

It got so uncomfortable that she started making excuses to avoid meetings and conversations, telling her manager about her ideas in private instead of saying them herself to her team in meetings.
