What an incredible start to the year it has been! We are so grateful to share that 77 families and teachers have already joined the Forestville Elementary PTA this year — and we are just getting started! Our goal is to reach 124 members — just one more than last year's record — and we know this amazing community can get us there. If you haven't joined yet, there's still plenty of time, and every single membership makes a difference for our school.
A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our PTA meeting this past Monday evening. The turnout was truly wonderful — it means so much to see so many families engaged and showing up for our Cardinals!
Here are some highlights from the night:
NextStop Theatre Partnership — We were thrilled to welcome NextStop Theatre, who gave us an exciting overview of their new partnership for our 5th & 6th grade musical! We are still gathering interest, so if your student would like to participate — please fill out the interest form to let us know and cast your vote on which musical is selected. Don't miss your chance to weigh in!
Room Parent Meeting — Our Room Parents gathered to connect, share ideas, and got ready to support their classrooms. This community is truly something special!
Curriculum Enhancement — We hosted an inspiring session on STEAM opportunities, including Science Olympiad, Odyssey of the Mind, and VEX Robotics. The enthusiasm for these programs was electric — from students who can't wait to participate to parents eager to volunteer and make it happen.
And now, the BIG news — The Forestville Fall Carnival is THIS Friday night!
One of our most beloved fall traditions is almost here, and we could not be more excited to bring our community together for a night of fun! But we need YOU to make the magic happen. We are looking for both teen and adult volunteers to help with a variety of roles throughout the evening.
Since this is not a drop-off event and parents will already be there — please consider spending some of that time helping out! Every set of hands makes a real difference, and together we always pull off something truly special for our kids.

We are still gathering interest for this year's 5th-6th Grade Musical
We’re thrilled to share that this year’s Spring Musical will be produced in partnership with NextStop Theatre.
This year’s musical is open to all interested 5th–6th grade students. Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00–5:30 PM, beginning January 5, with performances scheduled for early April.
We’re aiming for 43 enthusiastic participants — 40 cast members and 3 sixth‑grade Assistant Stage Managers — to bring this production to life. If your student is interested, please fill out the interest form and vote on the show to help us shape this year’s musical.

The Fall Carnival is almost here, and we need a flock of fun‑loving volunteers to help before, during, and after the big event! This is prime service‑hour territory for Forestville alumni and their middle‑ and high‑school friends — come run games, help with setup, or keep the magic going behind the scenes.

PTA sponsored, Fall enrichment afterschool Arts and Crafts with Aristocrafts.
Our crafters will explore their creativity while making a variety of exciting, hands-on projects throughout the session. Each project is thoughtfully selected around seasonal trends, nature exploration, and holiday-themed celebrations, keeping the experience fresh, fun, and engaging week after week- session after session.Students will create unique pieces such as jewelry dish, wall décor, piñatas, and more.Along the way, they’ll learn age-appropriate crafting techniques, build fine motor skills, and gain confidence as they complete each project independently.This after-school program is a wonderful way for children to explore their artistic side.
Time: 4pm to 5:10pm
Dates: September 16, 23, 30; October 7, 14, 21, 28; November 4, 11, 18 (no class on November 25); and December 2, 9, and 16.
