Dear Beech Tree Families,
Happy almost Monday. And a meaningful and blessed Yom Kippur to those who observe. School is back in full swing and we have a lot planned over the coming months.
- This week we have our first Restaurant Day(s) of the year! Join us Wednesday September 23 and/or Thursday September 24 at the Red Robin in 7 Corners (6331 Seven Corners Ctr, Falls Church, VA 22044.) Take out or dine in. The PTA receives 20% of sales. Choose the day that works best for you. Or do both! But maybe don’t get burgers and shakes both nights. They have salads and chicken, right? We care about you and your health! This is said lovingly; no judgement here.
- The Book Fair is approaching! We need volunteers to set up the fair/run the fair/and pack up the fair. Sign up HERE. You can also view the Fair Homepage HERE. On the Fair Homepage you can:
- Load money onto your child's e-wallet
- Donate funds to Share the Fair (which we use to purchase books or cover balances for students who don't have funds of their own)
- Check Fair Hours
- Preview books to be sold at the Fair, including the deluxe versions of the Who Would Win ultimate rumbles. Four fights per book. So many possibilities!
- We still need two more people to volunteer for our Financial Review. Email PTABeechTree@gmail.com if you can help out.
- Our first (but hopefully annual) Beaver Tail Gate will be November 6th. We are inviting local businesses to join our Vendor Market. We're offering businesses and organizations slots for $50 per table. We'll also have a table for homemade goods, so if you don't have a business license but want to sell your homemade treats and hand-knitted hats for dogs, let us know. Email for more information!
