We’re asking employers, HR specialists, workforce development professionals, financial experts, and others to share ODEP’s new Make Work Pay Hub, which offers essential financial literacy guidance and a new explainer video on ABLE. Share it on socials, in newsletters, at conferences, in meetings, and anywhere else you reach your circles. Let’s get every eligible American worker with disability working and earning without losing needed benefits.

Suicide remains a leading cause of death in the United States, profoundly affecting thousands of American workers and their families each year. President Trump has made it a priority to help people get the mental health support they need, particularly in the workplace. This Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a new video from the U.S. Department of Labor supports employers to create workplaces that are healthful, safe, and supportive for all American workers, including those who need mental health treatment or recovery support. September is also National Recovery Month, a recognition of the 30 million American workers who experience substance use disorder every day. We invite employers to join a free webinar hosted by ODEP’s Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability to learn how to support these employees in the workplace, while prioritizing safety, well-being, and recovery. Join us on Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. ET, and hear practical strategies for creating recovery-friendly and safety-ready workplaces, connecting employees with the support they need, and helping employees stay at work or successfully return to work as soon as they’re ready.
