Back in April, I started using Hermes alongside OpenClaw on a dedicated machine to help me create content.

The plan was simple: let them help me make content without turning my main computer into a permanent AI experiment.

Hermes quickly became part of my normal workflow.
|
|
Most of the time, I talk to it through Discord. I drop a task into a channel, and it helps me research, write scripts, make slides, build PDFs, prepare articles, and draft emails like this one.

|
Not everything works with one magic click. But it has been useful enough that I kept coming back.
|
|
While setting it up, I noticed that Hermes had a Home Assistant connector.
|
|
I knew it could read live states and call Home Assistant actions.
|
|
And I postponed trying it.
