Hires
In 2025 Q2, there were 213,177 hires nationwide in the Construction industry (NAICS 23) for Female workers. This is a decrease of 4.48% from the same quarter in the prior year.
The year-over-year change for each state is mapped below. District of Columbia and Arkansas were among the areas with the largest decrease in hires in the Construction industry (NAICS 23) for Female workers, while conversely Mississippi and Oklahoma were among the areas with the largest increase. The QWI are a set of economic indicators including employment, job creation, earnings, and other measures of employment flows. The QWI are reported based on detailed firm characteristics (geography, industry, age, size) and worker demographics (sex, age, education, race, ethnicity) and are available tabulated to national, state, metropolitan/micropolitan areas, county, and Workforce Investment Board areas.

The latest available National QWI data in the R2026 Q3 release is 2025 Q3, which lags the latest available State QWI data by one quarter. State QWI are released individually on a rolling basis throughout the calendar quarter with production expected to be completed by the last day of the quarter. In the event that data submission or data quality issues are encountered, QWI production for a state may be delayed or skipped for one or several quarters until the issue can be resolved.
