A guy on my list sent me this yesterday: "I had this idea several months ago, did some research but never followed through on it. One thing that I did learn was that you have to determine which are 'remote' receptionists vs. the job listings that require the receptionist to do 'other' things and be 'onsite.'" I love this email for two reasons. First, he's right. Not every receptionist ad is a fit. Some of them want somebody to greet walk-ins, sign for packages, and restock the coffee. An AI receptionist can't do that, and you don't want to be the person messaging those owners. That's exactly why Module 2 is a ten-second read on which posts to go after and which to skip. You see the ad, you check a couple things, you move on or you move in. Ten seconds. Second, and this is the bigger one. He had the idea. He did the research. He figured out one of the real problems on his own. And then it sat there for several months... That's not a knock on him. That's most people. Most ideas die in the research phase because the next step isn't clear, and "I'll figure it out later" turns into never. Meanwhile somebody who got Help Wanted Hijack on day one closed their first client by day three, because the next step was always on the screen. Find the ad. Skip the wrong ones. Find the owner. Send three lines. Say this when they ask "how much?" You don't need a better idea. You need the steps in order. Help Wanted Hijack is $27 today. It's gone up twice this week already. |
