New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell has resigned from his position following an investigation that found he violated state ethics and harassment policy, Gov. Mikie Sherrill said at a news conference.

Sherrill had urged Caldwell to resign after she released the report, which detailed alleged sexual harassment and ethics code violations.
