My first thought about how I have manifested through painting was of the building I’ve stewarded in Sonoma for ten years — MUSEA: Center for Intentional Creativity and Consciousness. The locals call it “The Mothership.”
There is space for artists in residence. Gardens and redwood trees. A film studio where we broadcast to the world. And a sacred temple for teaching and gathering in circle.
I could never have imagined having a place like this. Yet I painted it for years, right into the scene. Long before it was real, it was already living on my canvas.
I kept feeling it in my body, seeing it in my heart then, on the canvas, writing about it, and making it so.
In our Stardust Lineage, we say that paintings are life force generators and sacred objects that carry great power and potential. For 33 years I’ve been doing this work, and for 25 years I’ve been teaching it.
What about you? What are you creating?
Tomorrow, I want to show you how to do this for yourself through my simple step-by-step process for painting layer by layer.
Will you join me?
Here’s my promise to you: the oracle you’ve been searching for is already within you.
Your painting will hold two kinds of medicine. It will reveal what’s ready to be healed: the feelings you can’t put into words, the patterns you understand but haven’t yet shifted, the stories you’ve been living from without ever consciously choosing them.
And it will hold what you’re ready to call in: the life you long for, the work you are here to do, the place you cannot yet imagine standing in.
You’ll write your intention onto the canvas and bury it beneath the paint, and then you get to paint what you want right into the scene, the way I painted the Mothership.
You’ll learn to move intentionally from ordinary Beta awareness into the Alpha and Theta states associated with flow, intention, and creativity. And as the voice that judges and second-guesses grows quieter, you’ll reach places within yourself that thinking alone can’t reach.
You’ll let your body guide your brush. You’ll journey with the elements of earth, air, fire, water, and stardust. And you’ll move through a ritual of symbolic death and rebirth, honoring what’s ending and welcoming who you’re becoming.
By the end of our seven weeks, you’ll have one completed medicine painting that holds your entire journey, your own symbolic language for reading it as a personal oracle…
… and a creative practice you can return to whenever you face a decision, move through change, or simply need to hear yourself again.
You don’t need any art experience. In fact, the less experience you have, the better. This is about revealing your hidden self so you can liberate yourself, and letting your painting become a generator of life force in your own life.
So I ask you: What are you ready to paint into being?
I’d love to see you in circle tomorrow. I love this work so much, and I can’t wait to paint with you! Like we say in our lineage: We are all cooling sacks of stars.
With love and a splash of stardust and hot pink paint,
Shiloh Sophia
