IKEA is reportedly developing the Bilresa Dual smart switch, which supports Matter-over-Thread, according to a leak on the Homewithapple Threads account. The switch features two programmable buttons and can integrate with platforms such as Alexa, Google Home, HomeKit and SmartThings.

Report: US broadband speeds grew by 9% in 2024

Average internet speed in the US reached 214 megabits per second in 2024, a 9% increase from 2023, according to a HighSpeedInternet.com study, which credited the boost to 5G and fiber broadband expansion. Delaware led the list with 246.95 Mbps, while Idaho had the slowest at 124.57 Mbps. The report cited regional disparities with the Northeast and Southeast offering the fastest speeds.

Amazon's delivery drones take flight once more

Amazon has resumed drone deliveries in Texas and Arizona after a two-month pause to address a software issue with altitude sensors that was caused by dust. The FAA approved the update, Amazon reports high demand since the restart and the ecommerce giant has set a goal of delivering 500 million packages by drone annually by 2030.
