Former Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., was sentenced to more than seven years in prison and ordered to pay nearly $374,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to a pair of felony fraud charges earlier this year. Santos was expelled from Congress in 2023 after he was indicted on a wide array of charges, including wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
