I hope that everyone had a fun and relaxing Spring Break!  On a year like this with a late spring break, it seems like the end of the school year is right around the corner.  By my count, I believe we only have 33 days of school left!  This week, we were able to get back into the routine although I'm sure it was tough for most of our students to wake up on Monday morning.

This week, we celebrated our Main Office staff during Administrative Professionals Appreciation Week.  We are so thankful for all of the fantastic work that Ms. Robinette, Ms. Davenport, Ms. Yangas, Ms. Harbold, and Ms. Chevannes-Smith do for Franklin Middle School.  In many ways, they are the ones who keep the building running on a daily basis.  They are also the face and voice of our school to so many of our families that call or visit.  Thank you so much for all of your hard work!

Speaking of appreciation week, Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner, from May 5th-9th.  We have several things planned to recognize our amazing staff of teachers!  If you would like to contribute as well, please use the link in the section below.  You can also reach out to your student's teachers directly to tell them how much you appreciate them!

I also want to welcome Mrs. Christine Sciabica to our admin team as she will finish out the year as Interim Assistant Principal while Ms. Reid is on leave.  Mrs. Sciabica and I worked together for many years at Rocky Run Middle School and she brings extensive knowledge and experience to the position.  She will be working primarily with 7th Grade families and students.  We are grateful to have her with us for the rest of the year!
