Dear Brookfield Community,
We are thrilled to share the wonderful energy and excitement that has filled the halls of Brookfield Elementary this week as we returned from a refreshing Spring Break.
Even during the break, our school was buzzing with activity as we hosted our Spring Sprouts program. It was a joy to welcome back some of our kindergarten and first-grade students for engaging learning opportunities, culminating in a delightful field trip to the Washington D.C. Botanical Gardens. We hope they had a blooming good time!
This week marked a smooth and enthusiastic return for all our students. We've jumped right back into hard work and fun as we embark on the final seven weeks of the school year. Our third through sixth graders are diligently preparing for their upcoming SOL assessments, demonstrating great focus and determination.
The sounds of beautiful music have also been echoing throughout our school, thanks to the wonderful performances and preparation by our Chorus, Strings, and Band students. Their dedication and talent truly enrich our school environment.
Adding to the excitement, our entire student body participated in Field Day over the past two days! It was fantastic to witness their teamwork, sportsmanship, and the showcasing of skills they've developed in PE throughout the year. Laughter and cheers filled the air, making it a truly memorable event for everyone.
As the week draws to a close, we want to thank our students, staff, and families for contributing to such a positive and productive return. We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend.
We eagerly anticipate seeing everyone back at Brookfield Elementary on Monday morning, ready for more learning and growth!
Warmly,
Lesley Hassen, Principal
Margaret Sisler, Assistant Principal
Anthony Ramakis, Assistant Principal
