Hey, Open Thread. I’m Callie Holtermann, here to let you know that my colleague Vanessa Friedman will be away from the newsletter for a couple of weeks. She’s recovering — stylishly, I’m sure — from breaking her arm. (I had nothing to do with it, so please don’t shoot the messenger.)

There’s plenty to watch in the meantime: more retail fallout from the tariff confusion, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend and, of course, mounting buzz for the Met Gala on May 5.
