A Message from Principal Goldstein

Dear Fairview Families,

It was an eventful day here at Fairview today! Our annual Field Day was a huge success! We are grateful for all of the parent and staff volunteers who helped to make the day possible for our students.

We also appreciate the amazing job our students, staff, and parents did waiting patiently during our prolonged fire drill.

This week, many of our Falcons participated in engaging field trips. Our Kindergarten students recently visited Huntley Meadows Park to learn about nature, our Fourth Grade students had an educational experience at the Kennedy Center, and our Third Grade Falcons took flight at the Air and Space Museum (Udvar Hazy Center)! We are thrilled that our Fairview students have the opportunity to enjoy these valuable learning experiences.

Lastly, please note that there will be a Three Hour Early Release on Monday, April 28, 2025. Students will be dismissed at 12:55 pm, unless otherwise noted in PickUp Patrol.

April 28, 2025 - 3 Hour Early Release at 12:55PM!

For the upcoming early release on Monday, April 28, your child will be dismissed using the indicated dismissal route in Pick Up Patrol. If your child stayed on March 17th for the early release, we have defaulted their plan to stay again for this early release unless you notified us otherwise (this includes students going to SACC).

We will be sending your child at 12:55 via whatever is indicated in Pick Up Patrol. If your child needs to stay until 3:55, it should be reflected in Pick Up Patrol already as we have entered it on your behalf. If you need to request a change to have your child stay until 3:55, or leave at 12:55pm, please contact FairviewESCommunications@fcps.edu. Pick Up Patrol will be locked for changes from Friday April 25th at 4:15pm until 4:15pm on Monday, April 28th.

Thank you for your understanding as we ensure all students are dismissed correctly and get home safely. The final Early Release date is May 19^th.

You are the first smiling faces our students see in the morning and the last friendly faces at the end of the day. Thank you for your dedication, your safe driving, and for making sure our kids get to and from school safely. We appreciate you more than words can say!
