A Message from the Admin Team
Dear Roadrunner Families,
Welcome back from Spring Break! We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable time. It's wonderful to have everyone back as we jump into a fun-filled final quarter.
This week has been filled with community building and enriching experiences. Our students participated in our April House Meeting, fostering connections and collaboration across all grade levels. Check out the photos to see some of the fun! It's heartening to see these bonds strengthen within our school. In addition, our 4th graders had a special field trip to the Kennedy Center to hear the National Symphony Orchestra.
Looking ahead, we’re excited about The World at Little Run tomorrow, April 26th, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. This event celebrates the rich diversity of cultures within our community, and we invite everyone to join us for an afternoon of sharing and learning.

Parent Input Form for 2025-26 Class Placement
With the end of the year quickly approaching, we are already looking ahead to next year. While we look at class placements for the coming year, we ask for your input and if there is pertinent information to support your child’s success. We cannot honor requests for specific teachers. Parent input forms are due by May 9, 2025. We value your feedback and insight into your child’s learning needs. Thank you for your input.

Help us get ready for another fantastic year at Little Run! To ensure we have the right staffing in place for all our K-5 learners, please let us know if your student(s) will not be returning next year. Kindly complete the form by May 12th. Thank you for your cooperation!

Spring Attendance Challenge
We are excited to announce a school-wide Attendance Challenge! Each day, we will calculate the percentage of students present in each grade. The grade with the highest percentage of attendance each week will be celebrated for their achievement! This is a fun way to encourage all students to be present and engaged in their learning. Let's work together to make every day count!
Here's how our grades performed this week:
Kindergarten - 91%
1st Grade - 91%
2nd Grade - 97.5%
3rd Grade - 96%

A special congratulations to our 5th graders for achieving the highest attendance rate in our first week! Let's keep up the great work, everyone!

It's Time for Spring SOLs!
Get ready! 3rd-6th grade SOL testing kicks off next week! To help our students shine, make sure the get a good night's sleep and fuel up with a hearty breakfast each morning.
All tests will begin promptly, so please have students arrive to school on time!

Social and Emotional Learning Screener: Parent Reports
Students in grades 3-12 took the SEL Screener during the month of March. The screener provides information on their SEL skills such as achieving goals, understanding and managing emotions, establishing and maintaining relationships, and making responsible decisions. The screener also asks students how much their school community makes them feel valued, included, and supported.
Individual student SEL Screener results are available to families in the Documents section of SIS ParentVUE. Families who do not have an active ParentVUE account will receive their results via postal mail.
For support in understanding your individual student’s results or for ideas on how to support them at home, please review the SEL Screener Results Family Guide or reach out to our school staff with any questions.
The World at Little Run - Apri 26th - 1:00-3:00 PM
Reminder that "THE WORLD AT LITTLE RUN" is TOMORROW, Saturday, April 26th! We can't wait to celebrate all the wonderful cultures in our community. If you signed up to host an information table or do a cultural performance/fashion show, we'll see you there! For everyone else, come dressed in your cultural attire with food, songs, and music to share.
