Chicago housing nonprofit providing rental subsidies for very low-income renters facing a $10M budget shortfall

The Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund, an organization in charge of funding and administering rental subsidies for individuals and families, is staring down an estimated $10 million shortfall for its $14.1 million 2025 budget as two of its funding streams have dried up.
