We were thrilled to welcome back our Louise Archer class of 2019 students for the senior walk. Congratulations, 2025 Graduates!

Announcements

We are in the final days of our 2024-25 school year! It has been a wonderful year filled with learning opportunities and special experiences together. It is heartening to see the academic, social, and emotional growth our students have achieved together. As always, there are challenges and bumps in the road, but our students have persevered and thrived at Louise Archer. Thank you for the supportive role you played at home in partnership with us!

We have much to celebrate and our students are excited to enjoy some special events in the last week of school. Grade level end of year celebrations will occur through the last day of school. Progress reports will go home with all students on Wednesday, June 11th. As a reminder, this is an early release day at 2pm. We look forward to our final days together, as we count down to summer!

Student Laptop Return

The Technology Team is ready for students to return their laptops for the summer. If your child brings their laptop home, please help remind them to return them to school with their chargers

If your child is participating in a summer FCPS academic program, their laptop will be delivered to the school, so they are available for your child’s first day there.

Library Books

All library books are now due.  Please return any remaining books as soon as possible.  Students that still have books on their account received a notice in this week’s Tuesday folder.  If you have questions about library books, including lost books, please see Mrs. Simpson in the Louise Archer Library.

Helping Your Child Learn at Home

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is excited to support student learning over the summer. This Summer Learning Resources Webpage includes optional digital activities in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies for students in Grades K-6.

The activities are grouped by grade level and match what students have learned in school this year. Families can use them anytime to review, practice, or explore new ideas at home.

Resources utilize digital tools that students may have used throughout the year such as Science A-Z, Pebble Go, Gizmos, Newsela, MyOn, Britannica Elementary, ST Math, and Benchmark Advance

These activities require a device to access and some require students to log in through their FCPS Google account. Students may use a home device or their FCPS school device. If your child needs to borrow a device, they may check one out from their school prior to the last day of school. (Devices will need to be returned by July 30.) Some digital resources in Clever may be temporarily unavailable in August in preparation for the new school year.

If you need technology support, please visit the Families: Tools and Technology page.

We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and learning filled summer!
