Message from Mrs. Briggs
Dear Panther Families,
What a busy week it's been at our school, filled with incredible achievements and heartwarming celebrations!
Our 3rd graders truly shone at Kid's Business Day, showcasing a fantastic array of creative and wonderful products. It was inspiring to see their entrepreneurial spirit in action!
Meanwhile, some of our 4th graders captivated us by sharing their stories at their publishing event. What a special way for them to share their hard work and creativity.
We also celebrated our littlest learners in the Preschool Autism Class as they marked a significant milestone, moving up to Kindergarten! We're so proud of their progress.
Ms. Petzold's class put on a very entertaining play that brought smiles to everyone's faces. And our Multi-lingual Learners were rightfully celebrated for all their dedication and effort in learning English. Their hard work is truly commendable!
Finally, we had the immense pleasure of cheering on our former SHES students who are graduating high school as they walked through our halls. It's always a joy to see them and acknowledge their accomplishments!
We only have 3 days left and look forward to celebrating our 6th graders next week!
Sincerely,
Amy Briggs
Congratulations to our former Spring Hill 2025 Graduates!

Health Room Medication Updates
The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the 1:35pm on June 11th. Medication left in the health room after that time will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. However, with parent or guardian permission, a high school student may transport over-the-counter medications to and from the school health room. If your student will be enrolled in a summer program sponsored by Fairfax County Public Schools, the existing medication authorization form(s) may be used for the summer program, but you will need to pick up the medication on the last day of school and deliver the medication and completed forms to the summer learning site on the first day of the summer program. Please let the health room know if you would like a copy of the form(s).
Let's Finish the School Year Strong!
Student attendance at school is important all year long, up to the last day of school. **Students will be in school at SHES on June 11th, with a two-hour early release! Learn more about attendance resources. Attendance has an effect on student performance and on school accreditation. See how to:
- Check your child’s attendance record.
- Help your student stay engaged at school.
