A Lion's Tale

M Counts

Greetings Laurel Ridge Families,

I can’t believe that it is the last Friday of the school year!  Yesterday’s Field Day was a huge success.  Students and staff had a blast throughout the day and we are grateful to the many volunteers who made it possible.  Earlier this week, 5th and 6th grade students performed an awesome band concert at school and in the evening.  Thank you to Mr. Hamm and Ms. Seifried for showcasing this talent.

Next week, we will be packing a lot of fun into a short week.  Next Wednesday is the last day of school and we will dismiss at 1:55pm.  I wish everyone a wonderful summer and look forward to kicking off the 2025-2026 school year in August.

Have a wonderful weekend!

medicine

End of Year Medicine Pickup

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school. Medication left in the health room after dismissal on the last day of school will be destroyed. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.

If your student is enrolled in an FCPS sponsored summer program, the existing medication authorization forms may be used for those programs, but it is parent/guardian responsibility to pick up the paperwork/medication and transport to the summer site.

If you have any questions over the summer, please don’t hesitate to contact our school nurse, Gretchen O’Donnell, at godonnell@fcps.edu.

YEARBOOKS!

If you would like a Laurel Ridge yearbook and did not order one yet, it's not too late!  Send your student to school with $20 cash or check (made out to Laurel Ridge Elementary). We will get a yearbook to your student during the last few days of school.
