Anne-Sophie Mutter and Lambert Orkis. April 8, 2025
Dear Friends,
The 2024-2025 season of Concerts from the Library of Congress was one for the history books! Thank you for being a part of our faithful community of music lovers and for continuing your support during the centennial celebration of the concert series. Our season delivered an outstanding lineup of bold music, visionary artists and unforgettable performances. And what a milestone achievement 100 years is!
Whether your passion is chamber music, jazz, contemporary music, or genre-defying music, this season had something for everyone. Highlights included Anne-Sophie Mutter’s debut in the Coolidge Auditorium, several special performances on the Library’s Stradivari instruments, Hélène Grimaud’s blockbuster solo recital, Judy Collins’ memorable spring concert, the Henry Mancini at 100 celebration, and much more. We were also honored to inaugurate two new trust funds for the series, thanks to some of our longtime donors and friends of the series: the St. Nicholas Fund and the William I. Bandas Trust Fund.
As we enter the summer season, we wish you well for your summer travels and activities. We are already gearing up to share the fall 2025 season lineup publicly in mid-August. The fall concerts, including a special tribute to Mrs. Coolidge in late October for Founder’s Day, will serve as the culmination of the 100th anniversary festivities.
We invite you to make a donation for the 2025-2026 season today. Supporters at the Sponsor level or above will be invited to celebrate the season announcement early at a reception on July 29 at 2 PM in the Whittall Pavilion. We hope you can join us as we look ahead to another memorable concert season.
If you would like to discuss your giving plans, feel free to contact Sara Karrer at saka@loc.gov and Nicholas Brown-Cáceres at nbrown@loc.gov.
Thank you again for your support and for being a part of our concert community.
Best wishes,
The Concert Office
