The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is pleased to invite you to an upcoming webinar to provide information and request formative input on pressing issues and topics in the delivery of Medicaid-covered crisis services. This event will take place on July 23, 2025.
Section 5124 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) of 2023 directs CMS and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to establish a National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTAC) to help states develop an evidence-based continuum of crisis care. As part of our technical assistance series, CMS will be conducting webinars to help facilitate knowledge dissemination, peer-to-peer learning, and state experiences in implementing crisis care systems under Medicaid and CHIP. These learning opportunities are for state Medicaid agencies, local and tribal health departments, community services providers, crisis providers, and others involved in crisis service initiatives. We encourage you to share this invitation with any colleagues who might benefit from participating.
This inaugural webinar will provide an overview of the NTAC’s mission, objectives, and the evidence-based supports it will deliver to help states implement robust crisis care systems in alignment with Section 5124 of the CAA of 2023. The webinar will include a solicitation of topics of interest to states and stakeholders in the provision of a crisis continuum.
