A Wheat Ridge Police officer shot and killed a suspect wanted on a felony warrant on Thursday afternoon, the law enforcement agency said.

“If you’re coming to shop or spend time with family — welcome. If you’re coming to cause disruption — expect to be arrested. We are operating under a zero-tolerance approach.”

A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving death in a Denver hit-and-run crash that killed a man changing a tire.

The severity of the person’s injuries and other details about the incident were not immediately available, spokesperson Alex Rose said.
