Techstars Startup Digest Toronto

Locally curated opportunities, talks, workshops, and other events for those interested in creating a startup, growing one, or who want to connect with startups in the Greater Toronto Area.

Hello Toronto startups and entrepreneurs! Building a tech startup can be tough work, regardless of whether it's successful, but how about building 50 startups? That's what University of Toronto professor and tech entrepreneur Daniel Wigdor hopes to achieve over the next five years.

Wigdor aims to build those startups through Axl, a Toronto-based venture studio, while making the city a global technology leader, and ensuring Canada benefits economically from its own research while retaining talent at home:

“What we’re looking to do is create the right opportunities and talent networks here in Canada, so that we can pick up those results and begin to commercialize it here,” said Wigdor.

Have a great week!
