On Friday this column noted that former President Barack Obama was returning to the political fundraising circuit at an event in the Garden State. This naturally raised expectations that Mr. Obama would offer another trademark scolding to the assembled crowd. Our 44th president did not disappoint. to just toughen up,” Obama said at the fundraiser, according to excerpts of his remarks exclusively obtained by CNN. All things considered, his Friday comments to the wealthy crowd of New Jersey donors were more polite than last fall’s fact-free attack on black men who chose not to support Kamala Harris for president.
