Dear Suawek,
As per our chat:-
Thank you for contacting Data Clinic Ltd regarding our specialist data recovery services. We'd be pleased to take a look at your faulty hard drive and provide a diagnosis.
Your Quote reference is Quote80025 and we can collect your hard drive for free from any home or business address in the UK.
As long as the metal casing of the hard drive hasn't been opened, we will diagnose the issue free of charge. If the casing has been opened, or your drive is actually an SSD, then the Diagnosis Fee is £95 + VAT. Once the diagnosis is complete, we will send you an email with the total cost for your recovery. Our prices for hard drive data recovery are from £299 +VAT for file system, logical or simple electrical faults, up to £499 +VAT for a mechanical fault. If it is a mechanical fault, we may need spare parts, any parts cost would be payable upfront. If the platters in your drive are contaminated with debris/lubricant, then your drive may need our Advanced Data Recovery Service.
We will need to put your recovered data onto a new external hard drive, which we can supply, or you can send in a spare. If we can't recover your data, then you don't pay for the data recovery process. Following a successful recovery, your failed/damaged hard drive will be disposed of confidentially unless you request a return. Please reply to this email, if you would like me to arrange a collection.
The Standard Service takes 5-15 working days. If the fault on your HDD is mechanical then the timescales are up to 30 days to include sourcing donor parts and clean room work. If you need your data back more quickly then we have a Priority Service or an Emergency Service if you need your data urgently.
Please see below for the costs of our Standard service, which are exclusive of VAT . Payment can be made using a debit or credit card by using the secure link on the invoice, by a bank transfer, or through a Purchase Order by prior arrangement. We also accept PayPal and you may be eligible for Pay Pal Pay in 3.
Please read our Terms and Conditions and Data Privacy Policy. |

HDDs: If the metal casing of your HDD has been opened by you or another company then there is a Diagnosis Fee of £95.00 + VAT. There is also a surcharge of £100 + VAT for hard disk drives that are 5TB or over.
Advanced Data Recovery: Our technicians are increasingly finding that due to the poor quality build of modern hard disk drives, the platters are becoming more likely to be contaminated with lubricant and debris following a fault with the heads. Previously, such contamination of the platters would have rendered data recovery impossible. Our technicians have refined their skills considerably and if your platters are contaminated, you may be offered our Advanced Data Recovery Service.

The Data Recovery Process |
Collection/Drop Off – We can arrange a courier collection from your home or business address, or you can bring your device to a Data Clinic Drop-Off location near to you. It will then be sent to our Main Lab in Greater Manchester for the work to take place. For our Drop Off location details please click here. Having one central lab in the UK helps us keep costs down and makes data recovery more affordable for our customers.
Diagnosis – Your HDD will undergo a full examination in our lab which will require the technicians to inspect and work with the internal components.
Data Recovery – We will recover your data onto stable return media. Please inform us at this stage if you require the data to be encrypted in accordance with the above costs.
Data Validation – Where possible, a comprehensive list of your data is compiled and emailed to you, so that you can see the folder structure and files that you will receive. (The file list does not contain the actual data.)
Once you approve the list of files then we can proceed to the next stage. (An invoice for the work will be sent to you via email)
Payment and Return Shipping – When your payment has been received, our Customer Service Team will get in touch with you and confirm the return shipping details and you should receive your data the following working day.
