The Gareth Ward legal case continued this week, this time in the New South Wales Court of Appeal, as the convicted sex-offender MP attempts to fight his expulsion from parliament on legal grounds. It's likely to end up in parliament soon regardless, and that could determine if voters in the seat of Kiama will have to go to the polls for a by-election. Stay tuned as this unprecedented chapter in NSW politics continues to play out.
On a less serious note, but still of concern to many, it's the end of an era for the Dapto greyhounds, known fondly to many as the Dapto Dogs. After nearly 89 years of racing, the club's lease is set to expire in mid-2026. A sign of the times, I guess.
